Our visit to Shropshire

During the Easter 2023 holidays we made a visit to Shropshire. Shropshire is a county in the West Midlands on the border with Wales. We stayed in a village called Church Stretton and made trips to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge. Carding Mill Valley, Much wenlock and other places. In Shrewsbury we visited the old town and the market and even the prison. Me and daddy got locked in! We also stopped off in a town called Much Wenlock for a great meal in a 14th century pub.

We made a visit to an amazing place called Kinver Edge - where people lived in houses that were carved out of rocks on a hillside. The houses were inhabited right up until the 1960's. We spent a few days staying at a farm near Ross on Wye. The farm had apple and pear orchards and made their own apple juice, which you could buy on the farm. They also had some really friendly dogs. We made a visit to Ross on Wye where we stocked up on loads of books from a really great bookshop. On the way back to London we stopped off in Cirencester. Cirencester has a history stretching back to Roman times - when it was known as Corinium
